I love what I do and I hope it shows!
I am currently making lots of goblets, plates, and bowls with the SCA and Pensic in mind, so take a look at my photo gallery on this site and check back there often too as photos will be added often!
All of my kitchenware is dishwasher safe and microwaveable stoneware with lead-free glazes. You can bake and serve right in the same piece.
I'm planning on attending many shows and faires this summer so stay tuned for more updates on those. I'm also looking at setting up an art exhibit of my pots and ugly jugs in the near future.

Slave made ugly jugs now recreated
Face jugs were made by slaves as grave markers. The idea was to make them so ugly that the devil would be scared away from your grave so that your soul could escape to heaven! Thus we have the UGLY JUG.
I have researched the process and techniques of the original jugs made by slaves and adhear to these traditional materials, designs and firing methods. As a Black American potter I feel strongly about keeping alive today the tradition of this original American art form born of slavery.
Original works of art that YOU can own!
What better gift than a piece of functional art? Choose from many kitchen items I have created. And as for simple display beauty, a vase, large or small, can improve the look of a whole room!
Others will recognize your good taste when they see this original art used and displayed in your home. And won't they appreciate it even more when receiving it as a unique and beautifully functional gift!
